Causes and risk factors of obesity
Today one of the biggest causes of death is obesity, the higher the body rate the higher the chances of the risks that cause the inevitable death of the person who is overweight. Obesity is the result of many different social, cultural, behavioral and genetic factors. In an effort to combat the causes of obesity, early healthy behaviors should start in childhood and should be maintained until adulthood.
The overweight and obesity of a person will substantially add to risks of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, sleep apnea, and cancer. The obese people may also feel extreme feelings of low self esteem.
Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death, overweigh people are likely to experience high blood pressure which is the contributing factor of heart disease. Being overweight may also cause angina in which the chest pain is caused from a lack of oxygen. However losing even a small amount number of pounds will reduce the chance of heart disease.
Diabetes is another risk of overweight people and may cause additional problems of the kidneys, blindness and heart disease. Losing weight and increasing your everyday activities may reduce the chances of getting diabetes. When you lose weight it helps to control the levels of your blood sugar. There are medications to treat diabetes, but by losing weight and participating in physical activity, which will help you have the medication level lowered.
