High Energy Levels For Effective Weight Loss

Part of the reason why people gain weight is due to their low energy levels.  This is also the reason why many people maintain their weight.  Low energy levels lead to laziness, so you move less and it also leads to poor eating habits.  When your tired and feeling drained the last thing you want to do is cook or prepare a meal that requires thinking.  You simply don't have the energy for it.  So instead of eating something healthy, you reach for the easiest food you can find – which is usually unhealthy snack food, fast food, foods high in carbohydrates or processed food.  The type of food that will fill you up fast with little effort.  Eating this type of food will keep you in a low energy state, so you do less moving and exercising.  Which means the process continues over and over again.  It's a vicious cycle.


In order to lose weight you need high energy levels.  You need to eat food that will provide you with high energy.  Instead of eating fast gratification foods like breads, potato chips, chocolate, hamburgers, French fires, canned food, etc. you need to eat the foods high in vitamins and minerals.  Green foods such as salad, spinach, celery, peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, and fruits such as apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, lemons, melons and any other vegetable and fruit you can eat. Instead of white bread and white flour, choose whole wheat and instead or hamburger choose fish.  Make the choice to eat food for energy and wellbeing, not to just fill you up.

When you start eating for energy and health, you will notice that you will feel better and more able to move and exercise.  If you find making better food choice difficult, start with exercise and you will notice that your body will crave healthier foods.  Eating less and more often also contributes to higher energy levels.  If you want to lose weight, you need the energy to do it.  Prepare your meals and plan your exercise the day before, and get ready for more activity and higher energy food.  Instead of feeling lethargic (which is fats best friend), you will feel alert, alive and energized.  Weight loss will occur as a byproduct of your new energy level.
