How does Hoodia Work?

A plant that kills hunger? This wonder-plant, called Hoodia Gordonii, contains a molecule that tells the brain,” You are satisfied, you don’t need any more calories”. Aboriginal people of the Kalahari Desert, one of the most ancient and primitive societies of our world, have been consuming this plant for centuries. They used it to cure maladies like coughing and flue but most importantly they used it to beat hunger and thirst during long hunts. Without the Hoodia it would be impossible to resist the temptation to eat some of the prey on the way back to their village.

When South–African scientists begun to analyze the Hoodia Gordonii, they found in it an unknown molecule which they named P57. This special molecule sends messages of a satisfied stomach to the hypothalamic part of the brain and this way the brain does not sense hunger. Consuming Hoodia also raises the bodies’ energy level and thus brings on a general well being of body and mind.

Before purchasing a Hoodia product, you should always check the list of ingredients. If the product contains colors, sweeteners, unnecessary additives than you are paying for those materials instead of the real thing and getting less active ingredient for your money. You should also check how much active ingredient there is in the product. For optimal results one has to consume between 1000and 3000 mg of Hoodia per day so it is not the same if a product contains 200 or 1000 mg of it. In the case of the former we have to take a pill 10 times a day, while with the latter, we need just one or two. This way the seemingly more cheep product will turn out to be the more expensive.
